Relief Finally: DAX Starts with a Bang – Correction Over?
The DAX fully met investors' hopes yesterday, Monday. The positive signs from Friday's after-hours trading were gratefully accepted, and the German leading index started the new trading week with a strong gain of 1.65 percent. Although the DAX closed at 23,959.99 points, just shy of the psychologically important 24,000 mark, this level is likely to fall today, Tuesday, should trading continue similarly. The bulls are sending a clear signal that the correction may be over and that the remaining trading weeks in 2025 can be concluded positively.
US Shutdown Nears End: Markets Celebrate Normality
Global market sentiment is further fueled by positive political news. According to international reports, the end of the US Shutdown is expected to be announced today, signifying a return to normalcy in government agencies. US markets also rallied sharply on Monday: the NASDAQ rose by 2.3 percent, the broad-based S&P 500 gained 1.5 percent, and the US blue chips combined in the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.8 percent. The direction is right again, and the signs for a positive trading week are excellent.
Commerzbank Explodes – Deutsche Bank Marks New Annual High
Financial stocks dominated among individual values. Commerzbank stock started brilliantly and was the top performer in the index with a surge of 6.6 percent. Siemens Energy ended its corrective behavior with a price increase of 4.6 percent. Deutsche Bank completed the top 3, with shares growing by 4.4 percent and marking a new annual high. Deutsche Bank's stock has surged by an impressive 102.5 percent year-to-date, underscoring its outstanding strength.
DAX Before the Next Jump: 24,130 Points as the Next Hurdle
For today, Tuesday, the DAX might face a small intraday correction after the strong start to the week. However, this is expected to conclude during the trading day, allowing the journey north to continue. The high from November 5th, around 24,130 points, serves as the next minor resistance that must be overcome on the way to further records.
